We have been busy preparing for the arrival of Lily's baby brother. This pregnancy has gone by so fast...
A few months ago, when asked what was in Momma's belly, Lily would reply "no." We've come a long way... now she will say "baby." We ask her "who's in your family?" She says, "Momma, Daddy, Lily" and about 50% of the time will add "baby." We have no idea how much of this she understands... it's a pretty tricky concept!
Lily has been my little partner at almost every single doctor visit. I tell her that we are going to the doctor & she says "baby heartbeat." I nod my head & she says, "say," which means what does it sound like? I then do my best imitation of a heartbeat. :)
We have a book from Di Di called "I'm a Big Sister," & also found a great book at the library: Berenstain Bears "New Baby." Both so cute, if anyone needs a way to break the news gently. :)
The official due date is 3/19, so it really could be any time. We are so excited to meet this new little member of our family! Di Di arrives this Sunday 3/14 & will stay 2 weeks. Gramps will be here for the second week. PawPaw, Nana Jo & Aunti Ri will be here Easter weekend. Looking forward to fun weeks ahead! Stay tuned...
